Devin Patent is a trademark and patent attorneyship office based in Istanbul, acting for Turkish and international rights holders. Registered attorneys handle every stage of a right — searches, applications, oppositions, YİDK proceedings, renewals, recordals and portfolio administration before TÜRKPATENT, EUIPO, WIPO and the EPO.
What separates the office from most of the market is where its people come from. Our attorneys have legal training, and a specification, a claim set or an opposition brief is drafted the way a document is drafted when you expect it to be tested later — against the statute, against examination practice, and against the case law that sits behind both.
That shows up in ordinary decisions. Which classes to file and how to word them. How broadly to draft a claim before it stops being defensible. Whether to build evidence of use in the first year rather than assemble it under deadline pressure in the fifth. Whether a consent letter is worth asking for, and what it should say.
Portfolios are run on a single calendar. Opposition windows, renewal dates and annuity deadlines are docketed centrally, audits identify dormant rights and gaps in class coverage, and clients receive scheduled status reporting rather than an invoice and a certificate.
Court proceedings, compensation claims, criminal complaints, contract drafting and advisory work are not carried out here. They are handled by our law firm, Devin Law & IP, and a file moves between the two offices without losing its history.
